Forging The Future of Girls Through Literary Skills

Celebrating 50+1 years Anniversary

6973 Golden Girls are still going on strong since the reunion of the "girls" in December of 2019.
We have found and reunited 46 of our classmates from 1969 registration list. We have reunited with lost best friends, dormitory mates and "trouble-making pals" New memories are being formulated online and person to person meet-ups. We are grateful for each and for every opportunity for renewed friendship.

Despite challenging economic and financial conditions prevailing all over the world, our class set continues to support our alma Mata in numerous ways. We give back to St Louis Grammar School and take care of each other.

President's Welcome image
In January 1969, a group of 45 young teenagers were admitted into St. Louis Grammer School, Mokola, Ibadan to begin a life defining journey for the next five years.  As freshers and with the diversity of the student body who did not know how to navigate in the new environment, we found ourselves,  our late indefatigable Principal, Sr. Dymna Drury, with the assistance of some of the teachers, quickly settled us down. We were nurtured to grow and develop as responsible, God fearing individuals learning  not only academic lessons but also life lessons. Five years later, we had developed to become  strong, determined women, courageously challenging ourselves to evolve into a better version of who we were when we started in the first form. Over fifty years later, we have all to the glory of God become influencers in our different fields.

I feel honored and privileged to be given the opportunity to be the team lead for the next two years. Our vision is to concentrate in three major areas.

1. Upgrade the junior school library to a more functional and environmentally friendly safe place for students to use.

2. We will continue with the programs of the literary club and take it to the next level of all inclusiveness.

3. Get as many of our classmates to reconnect with one another.

For progress and journeying on as golden angers, we will organize quarterly class meetings with specialists in diverse sectors to give us talk that is germane to us. God helping us as a team, we would, at the end of our tenure, have impacted the lives of the girls positively, so that they would have the confidence and boldness to explore the world and become influencers who would impact society.
